About this Qualification:

The Active IQ Level 3 Award in Understanding the Development and Delivery of End-point Assessment is a comprehensive qualification that covers the principles of apprenticeship standards and helps learners to develop the necessary skills to plan, deliver and grade End-point Assessments.

This new qualification meets the increasing demands for skilled assessors in this emerging area.  Its comprehensive content includes background information about the development of apprenticeship standards in England, the principles and requirements of end-point assessment and a clear overview of the different types of End-point Assessment methods.

Learners will gain an understanding of how End-point Assessments are developed and delivered as well as the knowledge and skills to be able to plan an End-point Assessment through the syllabus that covers:

  • Planning End-point Assessments.
  • The role of apprentices, employers and training providers in the process.
  • Making End-point Assessment decisions.
  • Ensuring End-point Assessments are quality assured. 
  • Managing information relating to End-point Assessments.
  • The legal and good practice requirements in relation to End-point Assessment. 

Entry Requirements and Progression:

  • This qualification is open to all (learners must be 19 years old or over).
  • Please note: For learners who wish to go on and deliver end-point assessments must have occupational and technical competence in the areas that they wish to assess and meet the minimum requirements as set out in the relevant assessment plan. 

Learners who have achieved this qualification and who already hold the occupational and technical competence that meet the requirements of specific assessment plans may go on to become End-point Assessors. Learners may also progress on to:

  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment.
  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment.
  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement.
  • Active IQ Level 3 Award in Education and Training. 
  • Active IQ Level 4 Award in Education and Training.

Training Programme:

The Active IQ Level 3 Award in Understanding the Development and Delivery of End-point Assessment is delivered via an online programme that includes an eClinic, eLearning, eManual, guidance and assessment.

  • Case study / assignment

Costs:

The course fee is as follows:

  • Level 3 Award in Understanding the Development and Delivery of End-point Assessment: £300 + VAT

Learning Programme Structure:

An online programme which takes 4 months to achieve.

Initial support and guidance provided by Active IQ’s Guidance Assessor on a one-to-one basis following enrolment (via email, skype and/or phone).

Mid-programme support and guidance provided by the allocated Guidance Assessor approximately half-way through the online course (via email, skype and/or phone).
