Active IQ Support Services Manager Jo Jones
Q. Tell us about your role at Active IQ, how long have you worked here and what you most enjoy?
A. I started in the Approvals department 3 years ago and the most satisfying part of my job is helping customers on the journey to become an Active IQ approved centre.
Q. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A. A nurse – I was obsessed by bandaging up dolls, the cat, my brother and sister when I was growing up!
Q. Tell us something we would never guess about you?
A. My first job as a teenager was working for The Sisters of St. Francis House (a Spiritual Retreat). I had to take an order of silence whilst working there – anyone that knows me will understand it was not an easy task!
Q. What is the best advice you have ever been given?
A. From my parents, to work hard for what you want you want in life. I have worked since I was 13 and I knew never to ask my parents for money when growing up. My proudest achievement was at 23 when I bought my own house.
Q. Which exercise do you most enjoy?
A. Running. I have taken part in lots of half marathons and have entered the ballot for the London Marathon next year – eeek!
Q. Any hidden talents?
A. I don’t think so! Friends and family love my baking so maybe that is my talent?
Q. How would people describe you in three words?
A. Driven, helpful and fun
