In this month’s spotlight feature, we interview Adam Armstrong,
Business Development Manager
Q. Tell us about your role at Active IQ, how long have you worked here and what you most enjoy?
A. I am the Business Development Manager for the North and Scotland and have been in role for 4 months. My role consists of supporting both current and new centres with their provision through promoting the Active IQ portfolio of products and services. I most enjoy the variety of the role and being able to engage with different types of centres, to help promote successful careers for their learners in the active leisure industry.
Q. What advice can you give people who aspire to be where you are?
A. Be the best you can be and have fun!
Q. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Q. Tell us something we would never guess about you?
A. Last year I took part in a charity boxing event where I was repetitively punched in the face…… all in the name of charity of course!
Q. What is the best advice you have ever been given?
A. If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong!
Q. Which exercise do you most enjoy?
A. Golf….low stress, scenic and a beer at the end.
Q. Any hidden talents?
A. I have been known to strum a chord or two on the old guitar.
Q. How would you describe yourself in three words?
A. Northern, sarcastic and active.
