This qualification is aimed at developing those working as first line managers, section managers, assistant managers, trainee managers, senior supervisors, junior non-commissioned officers (armed forces) and those working in a range of other management positions.
There are no specific entry requirements. As this is a competency-based qualification, learners will need to be assessed in the workplace.
Learners must achieve a minimum of 55 credits. The learner must complete all five units in Mandatory Group A (31 credits), a minimum of 17 credits from Optional Group B and a maximum of 7 credits from Optional Group C.

The qualification is designed to offer entry and progression in employment; however learners can also progress to the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Management and the Higher Apprenticeship in Management.
