About this Qualification

• Is aimed at individuals who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of external quality assurance in relation to assessment
• Provides formal recognition of your knowledge of external quality assurance and verification processes
• Does not require individuals to be currently practicing as an external quality assurer (External Verifier) in order to achieve the qualification
• Is relevant to a range of sectors

Qualification Aims

• To cover the knowledge and understanding that a learning and development practitioner requires for the external quality assurance of assessment
• Enables progression to the full Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
• Supports and enhances a quality assurance role in the workplace

Entry Requirements and Progression

Individuals can work towards this Level 4 external quality assurance qualification once they have achieved, or already hold either the Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, the Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement, the Level 3 Certificate in Vocational Achievement, or other equivalent qualifications.

Learners who have achieved the Level 4 Award in Understanding the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice can then progress on to the Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice using credits already achieved.

Training Programme

The Active IQ Level 4 Award in Understanding the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is delivered via a combination of eClinic, Live Webinar one-to-one tutor guidance and assessment.

Assessment submission of:

• A series of written questions submitted to your assessor within a 6 week period following your Live Webinar.
