Active IQ has made a confident start to 2017 with three new senior appointments across the organisation. Michael Donohoe joins as Head of Operations and Valerie Keeley as External Verifier for the North West Region. Active IQ’s business development team has also grown with the appointment of Tad Chapman as an additional Business Development Manager for the organisation. By growing the team, Active IQ’s aim is to provide its approved centres with the best support possible from the point at which they start their journey with them.
Michael Donohoe has over 10 years of experience within the sector, which includes spending the last nine years at Central YMCA within YMCA Awards as its Head of Quality and Operations. In his new role Donohoe will be responsible for streamlining Active IQ’s systems and processes to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service. He will also be liaising with external partners and leading on the implementation of a new CRM system to help manage customer acquisition.
Valerie Keeley has extensive experience within quality assurance and a good knowledge of North West Region having previously worked for YMCA Awards within a similar role. As part of her role, Keeley will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance across all Active IQ’s training providers in this area.
Finally, Tad Chapman has been appointed as an additional Business Development Manager. With over five years’ experience in the sector, Chapman’s previous role was Workforce Development Manager at SkillsActive. In his new role Chapman will use his industry knowledge to help Active IQ maintain its position as the leading Awarding Organisation in the health and fitness sector while supporting it to successfully diversify into allied markets. His main responsibilities will see him working with both new and current training providers to offer a variety of qualification solutions to meet the needs of employers across the sport and physical activity sectors.
“I am delighted to welcome Michael, Valerie and Tad to the Active IQ team. They join us at a time when there has never been more importance for the need of quality assured training,” says Managing Director, Jenny Patrickson. “With their combined industry knowledge and experience I have every confidence that they will help Active IQ to grow and fulfil our ambitious aims this year and beyond.”
