Active IQ continues to strengthen its position within the college sector by working closely with the Association of Colleges (AoC) and Association of Colleges Sport (AoC Sport), focussing on a number of key events over the summer months.

Apprenticeship growth is at the heart of the Government’s skills agenda, which is why Active IQ is exhibiting at the forthcoming AoC Apprenticeships Conference for Colleges on the 14th June in London. This conference will provide updates on the reforms, as well as providing answers to the technical questions surrounding apprenticeships. It will focus on how the FE sector can take on the challenges involved and delegates will have the opportunity to hear good practice from colleges currently driving apprenticeship growth. If you’re planning to attend and would like to meet with James or Steve, from the Active IQ Business Development team, to discuss Active IQ’s Apprenticeship Packages, please email

Active IQ at the AoC Sport in the Curriculum Conference
The end of June sees Active IQ flying the flag at the AoC Sport Conference on the 28th June in Telford. One year on from the launch of the strategy ‘Fit for College, Fit for Work, Fit for Life’ the College Sport Conference will focus on the ‘Fit for Work’ strand to celebrate the outstanding work of colleges in developing appropriately skilled, fully rounded and resilient young people ready to move into employment or progress to HE. With the Government focus on apprenticeships and employability the conference will look at how sport can contribute to these agendas, both directly and indirectly.

The conference will also consider the professionalisation of the Active Leisure sector, working with CIMSPA to ensure quality of opportunities and encourage dual careers whilst continuing the AoCs close working relationship with their key strategic partner, Sport England. This year AoC Sport is also pleased to be working with ukactive, running the conference alongside the ukactive annual Flame Conference and is planning a joint keynote session for Tuesday afternoon to which they will welcome delegates and members. If you’d like to meet with Laura or James, from the Active IQ Business Development team, to discuss Active IQ’s exciting new Tech Level qualification, please email For further information on the event please click here.

The Active IQ team will also be at the ukactive Flame Conference the next day on the 29th June, so there will be further opportunities for catching up with us there.
