British Military Fitness (BMF) has built up its reputation over 18 years as the undisputed leader in the outdoor fitness industry, with classes led by qualified instructors held in more than 140 parks across the UK.

Now its training arm, The BMF Academy, has collaborated with Active IQ,  the UK’s leading Ofqual-recognised Awarding Organisation, to develop the next generation of fitness professionals by creating the first-ever Level 4 Strength and Conditioning certificate as a regulated qualification – setting a new gold standard in Fitness Education.

The only Level 4 Certificate in Strength & Conditioning available on the qualifications framework, it is currently exclusive to the BMF Academy and taught by industry experts accredited by the UKSCA who hold a degree in Strength & Conditioning.

The BMF Academy has also introduced two other courses to add to its Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications – a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and a Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Outdoor Fitness reaffirming the goal to deliver outstanding courses to the next generation.

Anyone interested in becoming the highest qualified performance specialist can register their interest in the course on the BMF Academy website.

Harry Sowerby, Managing Director at British Military Fitness, said: “This qualification was born out of a shared frustration at the lack of high quality education for the fitness industry and poor progression opportunities for personal trainers looking to get to the next level. We wanted to fill this gap and raise the standard of fitness education, preparing students to become confident and highly skilled performance specialists. In partnership with Active IQ, this has now evolved into an even more complete package, which is unmatched by any other qualification of its kind.”

Jenny Patrickson, Managing Director at Active IQ said: “We welcomed the chance to work alongside British Military Fitness to develop its new Level 4 Certificate in Strength & Conditioning qualification, and to ensure that this new qualification, the Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and the Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Outdoor Fitness all meet the highest standards. The development of the Level 4 Certificate in Strength & Conditioning Coaching has certainly enhanced BMF’s offer and we were pleased to support this initiative to bring this new qualification to market and look forward to seeing the area of strength and conditioning develop further as a result.”

The British Military Fitness Academy offers face-to-face training in world-class venues including leading Sports Universities and nationwide gym chains as well as online webinars and phone and email support.
