About: Mandie joined Active IQ in 2007 and has worked in the quality assurance team during that time. Mandie was promoted to Lead External Verifier in 2012 and then again to Head of Quality Assurance in 2014, roles that she has particularly enjoyed as these have allowed Mandie the opportunity to support her allocated centres whilst also mentoring the excellent team of external verifiers at Active IQ. Mandie is passionate about the provision of quality education and training and has a particular interest in differentiated methods for programme delivery.

About: Annette has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, starting as a fitness instructor then as a personal trainer. Annette also trained to be a sports massage therapist, an area which she still has a keen interest in today. Annette worked as a fitness manager in her career before progressing into assessing and internal verification of a wide range of health and fitness qualifications. Annette began with Active IQ in 2007 as an External Verifier and is one of our most experienced team members. More recently, Annette was promoted to Lead External Verifier and International QA Manager where she now continues to use her industry and quality assurance expertise to support our centres as well as our External Verifier team.

About: Adam’s passion has always been for health, fitness and sport and he has worked in the health and fitness industry for two decades, starting as a gym instructor working in several gyms and fitness clubs to developing into a successful self-employed personal trainer.
Adam has a wealth of experience within strength and conditioning as a fully qualified and UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning coach. Over the past 15 years, Adam has led strength and conditioning services in a range of sports and educational facilities, with a passion for developing athletes on and off the competition floor.

About: Alex has been in the fitness industry for 16 years working in health clubs, firstly starting off as a leisure attendant and then working his way up to health club manager. Alex has also run his own fitness business delivering PT and fitness classes, seeing over 250 clients a week. Alex has worked for private training providers and colleges delivering fitness qualifications, and has gained considerable experience working as a tutor, assessor and IV. About: Emma’s fitness industry career started over 20 years ago whilst studying towards a degree in Physiotherapy. With a keen interest in rehabilitation, she completed a variety of further qualifications and worked as a successful PT and Pilates instructor for several years. After progressing through management roles for a nationwide fitness company, Emma joined their assessor team and discovered a passion for training and education. She spent 10 years working for a large national training provider, initially as a course tutor role then later as Lead IV and Regional Manager.
Emma has continually developed her technical knowledge, gaining numerous additional CPD qualifications, Level 4 Lower Back Pain qualification and achieving her PGCE in 2013. Emma joined Active IQ in 2018, and enjoys using her experience to support centres towards providing quality training and enhancing their learner achievement.

About: Lesley has been working in the fitness industry for 15 years. Throughout this time Lesley has worked in many different roles including Gym Instructor, Regional Studio Coordinator, Tutor, Master Trainer and Internal Verifier. During her time working as a Freelance Personal Trainer, she took the opportunity to work in New Zealand for three years. Working alongside leading industry professionals Lesley gained a wealth of fitness experience and knowledge. Lesley is very passionate about exercise and fitness, she is currently training and competing as a Professional International Figure Athlete as well as judging Body Building competitions and holding regular workshops and seminars. Lesley’s drive to ensure that high standards are maintained within the Health and Fitness Industry led her to begin work with Active IQ as a full time External Verifier and she brings with her a wealth of experience and industry competence.

About: Lyndsey has been working in the Fitness Industry for over 20 years in a variety of roles. She started as a Fitness Instructor and developed a passion for group fitness training including Exercise to music, Studio cycling, Circuits, Aqua, Step, Kettlebells, Suspension Training, Combat and Zumba. Her roles included Club manager, Duty Manager, Studio Co-ordinator and Personal Trainer. Lyndsey has spent the past 15 years working as a Tutor/Assessor on a wide variety of fitness courses and apprenticeships and has 12 years’ experience as an Internal Verifier. She has continued to regularly gain additional qualifications including a Degree in Education, Cert ed, Pre and Post-Natal, Exercise Referral, Obesity and Diabetes, Pilates and QTLS.

About: Will has been working within the Fitness Industry for over 10 years after previously gaining a business degree at University. During the last 10 years Will has worked in a nationwide fitness company as a Leisure Manager, a work-based training provider as an Assessor and an Internal Verifier. During the last 10 years Will has acquired a wide range of knowledge in the industry and has a great passion for health and fitness. Will started his career as a gym instructor and his journey over the last 10 years has seen him gain a wide range of qualifications.
