Our new Level 2 Award in Mental Health will be officially launched at the ukactive Active Training Conference on November 15th.
The majority of the industry will be represented here making this an ideal platform to introduce our new qualification which seeks to support the industry in managing mental health issues amongst customers and colleagues.
One in every four people experience mental health problems at some point in their lives and it’s clear a greater awareness of mental health issues and an understanding of how to manage our mental health is required. Our introductory qualification is purposefully pitched at entry level to encourage everyone from young, inexperienced learners up to more senior management to look at ways to recognise and tackle this problem.
The Level 2 Award in Mental Health Awareness aims to increase people’s awareness and understanding of mental health, help reduce stigma and discrimination and encourage people to talk about mental health. Furthermore, the qualification provides learners with an understanding of ways of managing and improving their own mental health and how to offer mental health first aid.
