Introduction

It is anticipated that candidates for this qualification will already be employed within a leisure centre, health club organisation (typically 'client-facing') in the public, private or voluntary sector. This qualification is for leisure centre employees responsible for an operational role acting under supervision. It will give them the opportunity to prove their competence over time in the workplace.

This NVQ consists of seven units; three mandatory units and four optional units which are delivered and assessed in the work place.

Mandatory units

All candidates must successfully complete the following units:
