Online Resources
Online learning has been developed to offer your learners the opportunity to study from any environment where they have access to the internet. They will have access to excellent resources and you will be able to give your learners tutor support with easy accessibility. As a tutor you will also be able to see at a glance how your learners are progressing.
The resources are supported by interactive Flash animations and self assessed worksheets designed to help the learner engage with the online medium and monitor their own progress throughout the qualification.
All courses are accessed through the Active IQ website, the learner will use their unique username and password to logon and start learning through their very own Student Desktop.
The Student Desktop is an option only available to those enrolled on courses and will list all courses the candidate is currently enrolled on.
Registering Learners for on line resources
To register learners for on line resources contact kimberley@activeiq.co.uk. We will then enrol each student on the appropriate on line course and send you email confirmation with instructions on how your students access this. Please note the courses are made of the individual units and you can choose which unit you wish your learners to do. For example you could enrol your candidate on to the Nutrition unit of the Personal Training course and offer face to face delivery for the rest of the qualification.
Support for learners
Once enrolled learners can email "tutor support" for assistance. This is accessed through their Student Desktop. They can request support on any aspect of the online course and both Active IQ and your nominated tutor can assist. Please note you must nominate at least one tutor who is able to give learner support.
The tutor can be given special security settings which will enable them to support your learners. This will mean any tutor support call which is made can be answered/monitored by you. If you feel any of the questions are specifically referring to a website issue you can choose to refer it to Active IQ who will deal with the issue immediately.
Tutor support
This function will enable the tutor to login to the website and search for learners by username. You can then monitor their progress through the course by viewing the worksheets they have completed and areas they may need assistance with.
