29 Nov 2011CMS Vocational Training teams up with Active IQ
To coincide with the launch of its new apprenticeship programme, CMS Vocational Training is working with Active IQ to offer its Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (QCF) and Active IQ Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness (QCF) qualifications to 16-18 year old learners. As part of the courses learners will be able to benefit from work placements, which will be organised by their training provider, CMS Vocational Training. Engaging with reputable employers who take on apprentices for 30 hours a week, for up to 26 weeks, the best learners in the programme will be offered employment at the end.
Gareth Luke, Operations Manager at CMS Vocational Training, said: "Our new programme is all about offering opportunities to young people by helping them achieve qualifications and gain full-time employment. Working with Active IQ gives our learners an extra advantage due to the quality of the qualifications they’ll be studying for, and the bespoke delivery methods that allow us to be flexible in the qualification delivery."
Suzy Gunn, Executive Director of Active IQ, said: ‘We are thrilled to be working with CMS Vocational Training, which shares our ethos of supporting young people and adults to further their careers through good quality education. CMS has an excellent reputation in the North of England and we have no doubt that our qualifications will help some of the young apprentices in their quest for a career in the health and fitness industry."
