26 Oct 2011Dundalk Institute of Technology expresses support for Fitness Professionals Ireland

DKIT logoActive IQ is delighted to announce that Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), based in the Republic of Ireland will be supporting the new European Health and Fitness Association (EHFA) approved Irish register known as Fitness Professionals Ireland. The new register is the professional registration body for qualified Exercise and Health Fitness Professionals in Ireland and is open to those who hold the Certificate in Exercise and Health Fitness and for those who hold equivalent qualifications.

As an approved Active IQ centre DkIT offers a range of health and fitness qualifications to its students and has a proven track record of delivering high quality learning outcomes with excellent achievement rates. In recent months DkIT has noted the need for its students to be registered onto a national fitness register, once qualified in order to enhance their career prospects within the industry and to verify the fact that they have met the required EHFA standards for fitness professionals.

By choosing to register their learners with Fitness Professionals Ireland DkIT can be sure that every individual accepted onto the register will also be granted EREPS membership and enjoy additional benefits, such as CPD workshops, discounted liability insurance and topical publications.

Michael McCorry of DkIT says "The Fitness Professionals Ireland register is fantastic news for our students and the fact that it is fully approved and recognised by EHFA allows us to feel confident that our students will gain membership onto a credible register."

Active IQ wishes the FPI register every success and has no doubt that it will go from strength to strength in the coming months and years.
