Spirit Health Clubs has become the first health club operator to be awarded Academy Provider status by the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure (NSA).

Spirit Health Clubs delivers Active IQ qualifications, including the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction and Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training at various sites across the UK. Ross Cowie, Spirit Training Manager UK&I, says: ‘We are very proud to have achieved Academy Provider status and we look forward to continuing with our commitment to delivering high quality training to our learners.’
Spirit Health Clubs is also working in partnership with fellow Active IQ approved centre, The Skills Partnership, to offer the Active IQ Level 3 NVQ in Leisure Management.

Active IQs Executive Director, Suzy Toseland-Goakes, says "We are delighted with the partnership between Spirit and The Skills Partnership, as this enables staff to achieve a nationally recognised qualification by following Spirit’s excellent in-house training pathway.
