Guidance for Centres
It is in the joint interests of Active IQ and our centres to ensure the high-quality delivery of our qualifications and units in order to allow learners to benefit from an excellent learning experience.
Therefore in summary we expect centres to undertake the following responsibilities:
-
Comply with the terms of recognition as set out in our Centre Recognition Application form
-
Deliver our qualifications and units in accordance with the requirements in their associated specifications
-
Ensure that all tutors/trainers/assessors are able to participate and undertake their roles as expected and outlined in our arrangements
-
Raise any queries or concerns regarding the quality of delivery and/or your responsibilities in terms of quality assurance with your external verifier
-
Develop and maintain appropriate quality systems such as assessment arrangements and robust internal verification activities.
Whilst the delivery of our qualifications and units will be undertaken by your centre staff, we will assist you throughout by:
-
Specifying the qualifications and experience that centre staff must have and/or their responsibilities
-
Holding various events for centres every year in order to support the delivery, assessment and internal verification of Active IQ qualifications
-
Providing support materials in relation to each of the qualifications that the centre intends to deliver
-
Ensuring your centre receives and understands the requirements for operating as an approved centre by providing them with regular advice and support through our passionate and experienced External Verifiers who will visit you at least once a year.
