Active IQ, the leading Ofqual approved awarding body, covering health, fitness, sport and recreation has approved its first training centre in Eastern Europe. The International Wellness Institute (IWI) in Budapest, Hungary will now deliver Active IQ’s wide range of internationally recognised qualifications, including the NASM® Certificate in Personal Training." The Active IQ qualifications have been mapped to the recently approved European Health and Fitness Association (EHFA) standards and provide entry onto the European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS).

Active IQ’s Executive Director Suzy Toseland-Goakes says: "We are thrilled to be working with The International Wellness Institute. We’ve invested considerable resource to ensure we establish a relationship with the right partner, which will deliver best practice and reflect Active IQ’s vision and values. We are also hoping that this partnership will help propel our international expansion."

Active IQ provides a wide range of trainer resources to support the delivery of the qualifications and combine traditional text books and student workbooks together with a comprehensive tutor pack containing schemes of work, lesson plans and PowerPoint presentations as well as a new state of the art online learning platform.

All Active IQ resources (including the online content) have been translated into 7 different European languages.

Since it was established in 2000, the IWI Education Centre has had a prominent role in the Hungarian health, fitness and wellness market and aims to raise the standard of health and fitness education across central and Eastern Europe.
